Ross Benjamin has a MLB 10* Top Play winner up for sale on Friday’s interleague battle between Arizona/Oakland (9:35 ET). Ross is an outstanding 21-11 (66%) L32 with his MLB picks. Furthermore, Mr. Benjamin is a documented 37-21 (64%) L58 and 59-38 (61%) L97 with all his 10* Top Play picks. Additionally, Ross has a NBA 5* ATS winning side on Friday’s Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals between Boston/Cleveland (8:35 ET). He’s gone a perfect 4-0 with his NBA Playoff picks over the last 4 days.

Angels (Heaney) @ Yankees (Severino) 9:05 PM ET

Game# 963-964

Play On: Under 9.0 (+100)

At the time of this writing, public betting trends are indicating there’s been an extremely high percentage of bets that have gone on over the total as opposed to under. As a result, this total has gone from it’s opening number of 8.0 to currently being at 9.0 which is a huge move by MLB totals betting standards. I have no problem with taking a contrarian mindset and with my reasons detailed below.

The Angels starter Andrew Heaney has compiled a terrific 1.45 ERA thru his previous 5 starts. Heaney has faced the Yankees once already this season and allowed 1 earned run while striking out 9 in just 5.0 innings of work. The Angels scored only a combined 5 runs in that 3-game series in late April against the Yankees.

The Yankees Luis Severino has an excellent 1.67 ERA and 0.80 in 5 starts at home this season. Severino faced the Angels during that previously mentioned 3-game series and went 7.0 strong innings. Bet on this game to go under the total for my free pick on Friday 5/25.

Ross Benjamin has the NBA winning total on Thursday’s Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals between Golden State/Houston (9:05 ET). Ross is 3-0 with his NBA Playoff picks over the past 3 days. He’s also an outstanding 21-11 (66%) L32 with his MLB picks and that includes 12 money line underdog winners. You need to spend money to make money and Ross Benjamin is your ticket to that winning formula.

Boston (Porcello) @ Tampa Bay (Snell) 7;10 PM ET

Game# 913-914

Play On: Tampa Bay +120

Former American League Cy Young Award winner Rick Porcello once again has an impressive performance line in 2018. However, that’s not been the case in his last 3 starts with Porcello posting a lofty 6.75 ERA and 1.68 WHIP.

Boston has some intriguing splits that work against them in today’s matchup with Tampa Bay. The Red Sox will be facing Tampa Bay’s lefty starter Blake Snell tonight. They’ve gone an outstanding 29-10 versus right-handed starting pitchers this season but are just 6-11 when facing lefties. Furthermore, Snell has an impressive 1.04 WHIP in 10 starts this season. Boston is a dismal 6-11 in 2018 when facing an American League starting pitcher with a WHIP of 1.30 or less. Putting that record into perspective, the Red Sox are 28-4 in the rest of their games in 2018.

Speaking of Blake Snell, he’s compiled a brilliant 1.07 ERA and 0.83 WHIP this year during 4 home starts. Snell has made 2 starts against Boston in 2018 while collecting a terrific 1.38 ERA and 0.85 WHIP in those pair of outings. The Rays bullpen has been very good over their previous 7 games in gathering a combined 2.70 ERA and 1.10 WHIP. Bet on Tampa Bay as a money line underdog for my Thursday 5/24 free pick.

Golden State @ Houston 9:05 PM ET

Game# 507-508

Play On: Under 219.5 (5*)

The current point-spread posted at BetOnline indicates Houston is a 1.0-point favorite. Houston has gone 13-2 (86.7%) under the total this season during games in which their point-spread was +3.0 to -3.0. Those 15 contests had a combined average of 207.5 points scored per game. Furthermore, 3 of the 4 games in these Western Conference Finals have stayed under the total. Golden State is 6-1 under the total in their last 7 games played. Since the 2015-2016 season began, 7 of the 10 games played in Houston between these teams have gone under the total.

Houston won 95-92 at Golden State on Tuesday and that game easily stayed under the total of 227.5 by an enormous 40.5-points. Any NBA team (Golden State) with a total of 210.0 or more, and they have a win percentage of .600 to .750, versus an opponent (Houston) that owns a winning record, resulted in those games going 27-7 (79.4%) under the total since 1996. The average total in those 34 contests was 217.4 and there were a combined 205.0 points scored per game. Bet on this game to go under the total for a 5* wager.

Boston @ Cleveland 8:35 PM ET

Game# 709-710

Play On: Boston +7.0 (5*)

The home teams have gone a perfect 5-0 SU&ATS in this Eastern Conference Finals series. Nevertheless, I look for that trend to be broken tonight with the Celtics covering as a road underdog. Boston head coach Brad Stevens has done a terrific job of rotating fresh legs to defend Lebron James and the cumulative effect is wearing him down physically. Additionally, James has logged huge minutes through the first 5 games of the series and is receiving limited help from his teammates which has deprived him of more rest. The Cavaliers were held to a mere 84 points on Wednesday night, and they’ve gone a dismal 2-13 ATS (13.3%) during the last 3 seasons following a game in which it scored 85 points or less.

Boston enters today having won 4 of its previous 6 games. The Celtics are 38-14 (.731) straight up this season after winning 4 or 5 of their previous 6 games. Boston has been superb defensively in this series by holding Cleveland to just 97.6 points per game while also forcing 14 turnovers per contest. Meanwhile, Boston has taken care of the basketball very well and that’s evidenced by them committing 9 turnovers per contest during the first 5 games of the series. Bet on Boston plus the points for a 5* wager.

Arizona (Corbin) @ Oakland (Manaea) 9:35 PM ET

Game# 979-980

Play On: Oakland -125 (10*)

Arizona is a pathetic 1-13 in their last 14 games and that includes losing 7 straight heading into today. The Diamondbacks have scored 2 runs or less in 11 of their previous 13 games. Over their previous 7 games, Arizona has an atrocious .160 team batting average and .505 OPS. Arizona starter Pat Corbin has pitched very well in 2018. However, Corbin is 13-25 in his team starts at night since last season.

Oakland’s Sean Manaea has been dominant during 4 home starts this season while compiling an excellent 1.78 ERA and 0.56 WHIP. The Oakland bullpen has collected a stellar 2.48 ERA throughout its last 7 games. As a matter of fact, the A’s pitching has held opponents to a .195 team batting average and .578 OPS thru their previous 7 games. The A’s are coming off yesterday’s 4-3 win over Seattle and they’ve gone 7-3 in their last 10 games. Bet on Oakland for a 10* Top Play wager.

Ross Benjamin has made his reputation in the sports handicapping industry by being one of the sharpest prognosticators over the last 15 years. In professional sports handicapper Ron Raymond’s 2008 published book “50 Greatest Sports Betting Secrets” he probably says it best. “One of the most underrated handicappers in our industry and probably one of the sharpest ones I know is Ross Benjamin.”

One of Ross’ often used phrases when speaking publicly, “if you want to be a successful sports handicapper then start by thinking like a bookmaker”. Ross is 60 years old and has been directly involved in many capacities of the sports gaming industry for the last 31 years. However there is nothing he enjoys more than the challenge of picking winners in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA Football, and NCAA Basketball.
