Seattle Mariners at Texas Rangers

Texas has now won 10 of its last 13 games, yet they are still under the .500 mark for the season. Basically this means that they are coming around after struggling earlier in the season. They do get to face a Seattle team that they have beaten 4 of 5 times already this season. Can you say DeJaVu...that is what is taking place tonight, after both of these starting pitchers face off against each other on Thursday. In that game both pitchers hit opposing batters and a bench clearing brawl ensued. After the melee was over Richie Sexon was suspended for 5 games and will miss the entire series this go around. Texas will put Kason Gabbard back on the hill tonight. Gabbard has allowed only 5 earned runs in 15 innings pitched this season, while holding opposing hitters to a .261 BAA. Felix Hernandez will get another shot at the Rangers. He has allowed 14 earned runs and 24 hits in his last 17 innings pitched. This has resulted in the Mariners losing his last 3 starts.
