St. Louis Cardinals at Atlanta Braves

Chipper Jones and his major league leading average will no longer help the Atlanta Braves until at least the middle of August. Yesterday Jones went on the DL and that is big time trouble for the 4th placed Braves who will need a huge run to catch the Mets in first. Tonight the Braves turn to Jorge Campillo who will start in place of injured Tim Hudson. Campillo is coming off 2 consecutive victories including a 2 hit 7 inning 4-0 victory over Florida. This season Campillo has a 5-4 total record with a 2.78 ERA. St Louis sends out Todd Wellemeyer to the mound. The righty has an 8-4 record with an ERA just over 4.10. In 6 apperances against Atlanta Wellemeyer has a 3.00 ERA. The public money is slowly growing on the over which makes me love this under even more. It was set at 8.5 and quickly went up to 9. Most people don’t know a thing about these two pitchers making the over look like an easy win. Wellemeyer can go deep into the game and Campillo has been dominant every time out. With Atlanta being the biggest under team in the league, I expect them to turn around the 5 straight over trend they are playing to as of late and keep this game low scoring and cash the ticket for all us under bettors.
