ATS: Grand Rapids Rampage +1 (-110)
WIN for +1.82 unit(s)
Grand Rapids Rampage at Arizona Rattllers
Grand Rapids – The Rampage closed out the regular season with three straight wins while the Rattlers struggled and lost each of their last two games. A key here will be that Grand Rapids has the better quarterback and the stronger offense in this match-up with Arizona. While the Rattlers offense is not explosive, the Rampage showed flashes of brilliance at times this season as the Grand Rapids offense includes a number of “wrinkles” that made opposing defense look confused often in the regular season. The Rampage rank second in the league with 127 touchdowns in the regular season. They scored more than eighty points in four games this season! The Rattlers defense is not a strong suit so look for Grand Rapids to force Arizona to try and play “catch up” in this game and that is simply unlikely to happen as the Rattlers don’t have the firepower to keep up with the Rampage. With athletic QB’s Adrian McPherson and James MacPherson, Grand Rapids is very tough to match-up with when a defense is not disciplined and tends to get caught out of position. This is precisely the case with the Rattlers defensive unit and, again, it’s another reason why this is not a good match-up for Arizona! Note that WR Kenny Higgins of the Rampage is another dangerous playmaker and, in the kick return game, Chris Martin of Grand Rapids led the league with six returns for touchdowns! With playmakers all over the field it’s simply going to be a scoring mismatch in favor of the Rampage in this game. The Rattlers have used four quarterbacks this season and the current starter is Matt Sauk. However, he struggled in the last couple games and this makes the situation on offense even more unsettled for the Rattlers. That’s why Grand Rapids rolls to the road win here. Explosiveness meets a train wreck here as the Rattlers will continue to have problems with turning the ball over and their pedestrian defense won’t be able to stop the Rampage offense on Monday night!
