Play ON Los Angeles Angels $ line (+) vs Chicago White Sox @ 10:05 PM ET The Angels suffered a frustrating sweep at Tampa Bay over the weekend but they now return home to the West Coast and theyre ready to bounce right back with a big pitching edge on the mound tonight. The pitching mismatch may not be seen by everyone here but the fact is that this is what is offering us even more line value with Nick Adenhart and the Angels here. When everyone looks at his numbers they will see an ugly 11.37 ERA in the books but his second start was an improvement over the first and the rookie pitcher will see more improvement here in his third career start. The 21 year old is adjusting to pitching at the major league level but the management of the Angels know that hes fully capable of producing at this level or else he would not have been called up. The right hander wont have to pitch that well to best Mark Buehrle and the White Sox. Buehrle is so frustrated right now that he threw a tantrum in the dugout after his most recent loss left him very upset! The White Sox southpaw is 0-4 in his last five starts and he has a 5.31 ERA on the season. Buehrle allowed 7 runs in 5.2 innings in his most recent start. The White Sox lefty has not been getting run support and this is also affecting him on the mound as its affecting the mental aspect of his game. Hes not exactly heading into Angel Stadium full of confidence either. Buehrle has made 11 starts against the Angels since August 8th, 2001. In those eleven starts he has not been credited with a win! The Angels have lost four games in a row but this is the first time that has happened in over a year! The Angels did break out of their offensive funk with a five-run performance yesterday but they watched the bullpen struggle and give the game away. That means its bounce back time here. The Angels are happy to be back home and theyve won seven of their last eleven home games! As for the White Sox, they have lost seven of their last nine on the road as they actually had lost six straight road games before taking two of three from the struggling Mariners in Seattle this past weekend. The home/road dichotomy is the key here and look for continued improvement from a talented Adenhart while the struggles continue for a frustrated Buehrle.
