Orlando Predators at Grand Rapids Rampage
Play ON Grand Rapids Rampage (+) vs Orlando @ 2 ET Grand Rapids started off their season with two tough match-ups. After a bye in Week 1, the Rampage had to face San Jose and Chicago in back to back weeks and, as expected, they lost both games. However, Week 4 (and the third game of the season for Grand Rapids) saw a change take place. The Rampage finally started to grasp the offense of coach Steve Thonn and the result was back to back wins by a combined score of 176 to 111. Thats right, the Rampage averaged 88 points per game in Weeks 4 and 5. Surprisingly, Grand Rapids struggled on the road last week at New York and got hammered by 29 points by the Dragons. Look for the Rampage to respond to this loss by bouncing back big in Week 7 at home. Hosting Orlando is a big plus for the Rampage. Grand Rapids has scored 58 points or more in two of their three home games this season. The only defense they struggled against at home was that of the Chicago Rush but that should come as no surprise. The Rush possess one of the best defensive units in the league! This week, the Rampage will take advantage of a Predators defense that clearly has lost a step or two this season. The Predators simply arent what they use to be on that side of the ball and the dynamic Rampage offense can take advantage! Orlando is laying more than a field goal here and this is significant in that the Predators are 4-2 on the season but their average margin of victory has been about four points per game. They have trouble creating separation from their opponents and this is also a tough scheduling spot for Orlando. After a big home win in overtime on Sunday against Chicago, the Predators now travel all the way up to Grand Rapids to take on a very hungry Rampage team that was embarrassed last week. We see no reason for the Predators to be favored in this match-up plus, with the line move on this game, we are now even getting more value with a Grand Rapids team that is better than most people think. Upset looms here!
