Los Angeles Sparks at San Antonio Silver Stars

The Sparks have a new coach after Jennifer Gillom following five straight losses on this roadtrip. While that could help motivate the team to try and snag its first road win of the season, it will not be enough to try and improve a defense that has been abysmal of late. The Sparks have allowed an average of 89.5 ppg over their last six games after giving up 77.0 ppg in their first five. They will be facing one of the highest scoring teams in the WNBA as San Antonio is average 88.5 ppg, second best in the league.

Despite the scoring success, the Silver Stars have seen their last three games go under and that actually helps us out here. The last two games were losses and those games came against New York as San Antonio managed only 75 and 73 points in the two games. Those came against a middle of the pack defense as well so the Silver Stars know they will need to score in bunches. The Sparks allow the most field goal attempts on defense while San Antonio shoots the second most on offense, a very good combo for an over.
