Wisconsin Green Bay Phoenix at Wright State Raiders

This is an important game for both sides as conference tournament seedings are coming more into play as the season is winding down. In the Horizon Tournament, the top two seeds receive first round byes and while neither Green Bay nor Wright St. need to worry about that, they fall into the next category where teams three through six host a first round tournament game. When you consider all but two teams in the conference are below .500 on the road this season, that is a big deal.

One of those is Green Bay which is actually one of the 22 teams in all of Division I that is winless on the road. The Phoenix are 0-11 and they have rarely been competitive as they are getting outscored by 13 ppg in those 11 games. They have been more competitive in conference games but their last two losses in the Horizon have been by a combined 40 points. Green Bay is coming off a three-game home stand where it won its first two games but lost to rival Wisconsin-Milwaukee last time out.

The home court has played a big role in Wright St.'s game recently as the host is 8-0 the last eight games with the home team winning by an average of 10.9 ppg so the short price tonight sets the Raiders up well. They failed to cover their last two home wins but both came by margins greater than what they are laying tonight. Currently Wright St. is sitting in seventh place in the conference and with this being the start of a three-game homestand, home court remains extremely important for seeding purposes.

This is the most winnable game of the upcoming three games so the Raiders are in a near must-win scenario. They lost the first meeting by a point last month in Green Bay and Wright St. is a perfect 8-0 in the last eight meetings at home. The Raiders are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 games after a game where they allowed an opponent to shoot 55 percent or higher from the floor while going 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 games following a loss. Green Bay is 2-5 ATS in its last seven road games following a three-game homestand. 10* (882) Wright St. Raiders

Kansas Jayhawks @ Kentucky Wildcats Monday April 2, 2012 9:20 pm
All of the pressure is on Kentucky and head coach John Calipari and while it has handled it very well so far, this is of a different magnitude. The Wildcats are one win away from a National Championship that they are expected to win and that has been the case all season long. I think ... read more

Ohio State Buckeyes @ Kansas Jayhawks Saturday March 31, 2012 8:49 pm
The linesmakers are have given the edge to Ohio St. in this matchup and the main reason for that is the road these two teams have taken to get here. The Buckeyes have covered three of their four tournament games with the only non-covering being by just a bucket. Kansas meanwhile ... read more

Louisville Cardinals @ Kentucky Wildcats Saturday March 31, 2012 6:09 pm
As tempting as these points look, they won't be enough for Louisville to cover against Kentucky, let alone win it outright. The Cardinals have put a very strong run together, similar to that of Connecticut from last season as they won four games in four days to capture the Big East ... read more

Minnesota Golden Gophers @ Washington Huskies Tuesday March 27, 2012 9:00 pm
Washington is showing that it is the class of the NIT and the number one seed it received was well deserved. The Huskies have cruised through its three games to get to the NIT Final Four and even though all of those took place at home, they will be just fine in this atmosphere. Washington ... read more

Pittsburgh Panthers @ Washington State Cougars Monday March 26, 2012 10:00 pm
Pittsburgh is coming off an ugly overtime win over Butler on the road to advance to the best-of-three finals in the CBI Tournament. I believe that was their final roadblock before winning this championship. The Panthers came into this tournament with a great attitude after a very ... read more

Florida Gators @ Louisville Cardinals Saturday March 24, 2012 4:30 pm
You have to give credit to Florida for the run it is having but there is no reason it should be favored here. The Gators are one of the two lower seeded teams that are favored Saturday and while Ohio St. is justified, Florida isn't. The Gators first two games came against lower seeded ... read more

Indiana University Hoosiers @ Kentucky Wildcats Friday March 23, 2012 9:45 pm
This one gets ugly. Kudos for Indiana and Tom Creen and the tremendous rebuilding job that Indiana went through this season but it comes to an end tonight. The Hoosiers were pretty fortunate to escape their last game against VCU as they committed 22 turnovers, which was a season ... read more

Florida Gators @ Marquette Golden Eagles Thursday March 22, 2012 10:17 pm
Florida has had a very easy time in getting into the Sweet 16 and it caught a very big break with Missouri going down against Norfolk St. The Gators have won their first two games by 26 and 34 points which is a rarity in this tournament, no matter the competition. The 30 ppg scoring ... read more

Nevada Wolf Pack @ Stanford Cardinal Wednesday March 21, 2012 9:00 pm
