The Knick offense is a mess.  Carmelo Anthony has been an offensive deterrent and he even admitted Saturday that he might be shooting too much. Amare Stoudemire has been marginalized in this offense and has zero chemistry with Melo on the floor.  However, the only reason the Knicks have won a few games is they have been playing much better defense led by the hiring this year of assistant coach Mike Woodson.  New York ranks 12th in the league in defensive efficiency.

Charlotte is also hopeless, helpless, and hapless on offense.  Now they have lost one of their few offensive weapons, point guard DJ Augustin to a toe injury.  However, that helps the Bobcat defense as Augustin is a defensive liability and is undersized and would have trouble guarding the larger Knick guards.  Derrick Brown, a good defender, will start at SF while 6'4" Gerald Henderson moves to SG with rookie Kemba Walker going to PG.  Bobcat center Byron Mullens' shooting has declined after a few starts as scouting seems to have caught up with him.  Mullens has made just 15 of his last 40 shots.
