The pace in Game 3 slowed down tremendously with Utah going home to Energy Solutions Arena with only 203 points scored, 12 below the 215 lined total. The pace was actually fairly slow, just a 90.3.
Jerry Sloan, Utah's coach, realizes that defense wins games and that LA is a much better team offensively than the Jazz. Utah's bigs were all over Pau Gasol holding him to only 12 points for the game on only 10 field goal attempts and not one free throw. The Laker ball movement wasn't there on the road as it had been in the first two games with only 14 Laker assists.
The Lakers didn't get the open looks they had in LA and only put up 66 shots from the floor. Look for Utah to maintain their defensive intensity and keep the screws tight on Kobe's supporting cast.
