San Antonio’s offense has been the main reason the Spurs are down in this series.  Three of the four games the Spurs have held the Lakers to a below 100 defensive efficiency rating.  In those games LA is shooting 43% from the field.  The Spurs are keeping the Lakers off of the free throw lane with LA only averaging 18.5 attempts per game.

All four games have gone UNDER despite in two of the games a team shot over 50% from the field.  Over the past six playoff seasons, the Spurs are 12-3 UNDER with one day of rest and playing on the road after a home game.  The UNDER is 10-3 after a Spurs home playoff loss, 5-1 if the game is on the road.  The UNDER is 14-5 in Spurs’ playoff games if they lost the previous game and it went UNDER the total.

The UNDER is 30-19 in the playoffs if you beat your opponent on the road as an underdog and now you are home.  The UNDER is 19-4 in the playoffs if a team won as a road dog with the other team never having a lead bigger than 3 points.  That improves to 11-1 UNDER if the team is now playing at home.

If a team won its previous game on the road and scored 40 or fewer points in the second half, the UNDER is 21-7 in their next game.  If a team scored fewer points than their opponent did in the previous game and won that game and it was on the road and now they are playing the same team at home, the UNDER is 16-3.
