Take: (16) Home Ice Game of the Month (Predators) : Big Western Conference matchup here on Tuesday as Nashville (4th in west) takes on Vancouver (2nd in West). Only one point separates these two teams and both clubs are in the upper echelon of the conference. Vancouver is riding a 6-2-2 mark into tonight's game and is on a one game win streak. The Canucks are coming off a shoot-out win over Colorado, 3-2. The Canucks boast the league's top Power Play (22.3%) and 6th best penalty killing unit (85.6%). Vancouver is also third in the league in goals scored (3.1 gpg). Meanwhile, Nashville has been hot, 8-2 in its last 10 games and riding a one game win streak with a win over St Louis, 3-1. We will see the top two power play units in the NHL tonight as Nashville ranks right behind Vancouver with a 22.2% (2nd). Nashville has been very good at home, winning six straight and 13 of its last 15 games. Defensively I really like what the Predators have been doing at home, holding their last seven opponents to two goals or less. Vancouver has been one of the better road teams, winning three straight away games and seven of their last nine. This will be the third meeting between these clubs this season with the teams splitting the previous two, both at Vancouver. This will be a great matchup to watch, but I like Nashville at home and they will be up for this game as they are competing with Vancouver for position in the west. You won't find this low a line for a home game on Nashville, so take advantage of it tonight. Play the Predators.
