NBA T.V. Game of the Year (Blazers) : Oklahoma City has opened up a 3 1/2 game lead in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference. The Thunder, while 7-3 SU their last 10, are coming off a loss at San Antonio, 107-96. Oklahoma City has covered just one of its last four games and two of the last five. The Thunder are third in the NBA in points scored per game (100.0) and 14th in points allowed (95.1). Kevin Durant continues to be the leader on this club, averaging 26.8 ppg and pulling down a team-leading 8.3 rebounds/game. Portland (14-10) can close the 4 1/2 game gap in the division with OKC tonight with a win. The Blazers are 6-4 in their last 10 games and coming off a win at home over Denver, 117-97. I'm going to be taking the Blazers here on Monday. Not only do we get this game at pick'em or maybe even Portland a small dog, but my numbers have the Blazers about 4-7 point favorites. The Blazers have been great at covering spreads at home this year, going 10-2 ATS. Portland can keep up scoring with OKC here, as they average 98.2 ppg (5th in the NBA), are 7th in rebounds and 9th in points allowed. LaMarcus Aldridge leads the club in scoring (23.1ppg). Moreover, Portland has six players averaging in double figures scoring this season. No doubt that this will be a good game, but we get a rested Portland team while the Thunder are playing their third game in four nights. I'm taking Portland here on Monday as my T.V. Game of the Year.
