The Braves look to string some wins together after alternating wins/losses the last six games. Still, the Braves hold the second biggest lead among first place division clubs. As for the last place Nationals, the only time anyone seems to take notice these days is when rookie phenom Stephen Strassburg pitches. But that won't be tonight as veteran Livan Hernandez takes the ball. Hernandez is 7-6 this season with a 3.12 ERA. Hernandez has been up and down this season. Up of late, allowing just two earned runs in his last two starts (15 innings). But before that he allowed nine earned runs in two games (12 innings). But one of the main reasons I'm looking to take the Braves here on Wednesday is that Hernandez is just 6-15 lifetime against the Braves with a 5.16 ERA. And that even goes back to his glory days in Florida. Hudson and the Braves should have little difficulty here on Wednesday.
