Texas goes with Colby Lewis, but he has struggled the most this season against the Tigers, with a 15.95 ERA against them. This is nothing new, as the last four years he is 2-3 with a 9.52 ERA against Detroit, allowing 60 hits, 15 walks in 33 innings! Detroit has home field for this one where they play their best baseball. This Tiger offense is terrific, 4th in baseball in runs scored, on base percentage and slugging -- even more impressive when you realize they play half their games in a huge, pitcher friendly park. The Rangers are 7-16 in Lewis' last 23 road starts vs. a team with a winning record. Doug Fister has been a great pickup for Detroit, as we saw in his Game 5 performance at Yankee Stadium last week. In the must win game, he was cool and won the game, 3-2. Fister went 1-1 with seven earned runs and a 10:4 K:BB ratio in 9.2 innings in the ALDS. The Tigers are 37-15 in their last 52 overall and 6-0 in Fister's last 6 starts vs. a team with a winning record. Play the Tigers in Game 3.

Both teams have their best bullpen arms available, if needed, and they will with so much at stake. The under is 14-5 in Colby Lewis' last 19 road starts vs. a team with a winning record. And Comerica Park in Detroit is a huge park, great for pitchers. Doug Fister has been a strong pickup for the Tigers, starting Game 5 against New York last week. The under is 6-1 in Fister's last 7 starts overall. Looks like a defensive game in a big park with so much on the line. Play the Rangers/Tigers Game 3 under the total.
