Both teams come into this one on 2-game win streaks. Idaho is a big dog, but not a bad team, at 15-15 overall and very competitive on the road at 6-9. Despite a .500 record, the Vandals have an excellent 3-guard offense and outscore opponents on the season by 1.2 ppg. One concern for Nevada is that the Wolf Pack is coached by David Carter, who is in his first season as head coach after 10 years as an assistant with the team. They are terrible as huge favorites, as the last five times Nevada has been chalk of 8 and a half or more they are 0-5 ATS. That included a 6-point win as an 18-point favorite over Hawaii. Early in the season they were a 17-point favorite over Eastern Washington and won by 3 points. Nevada narrowly edged the Vandals by a 67-66 margin after an Armon Johnson converted a 3-point play with two seconds remaining in the game last month. This shapes up as another close one with so much at stake. Play Idaho.
