San Francisco Giants at St. Louis Cardinals

4 Unit Play.  Take Under 7.5 between San Francisco Giants @ St. Louis Cardinals (8:15pm est).  Let's start off July on a strong note and attempt to duplicate our 77% June. The Cards have lost the first two games of this series and they need a strong effort from Wainwright today.  Its getting to be that time of the year where teams need to make their midseason run to set themselves up for the late run.  I call it the mid-season run, and then the last quarter of the season is the stretch run so to speak. Despite going seven strong innings and giving up just 1 run in his last start to the Twins at home, Wainwright picked up the loss as the Cards fell 1-3 (if you remember, we had taken the under in this game). He is solid on bounce-backs which is one of the reasons why he sports a 3.51 era so far this year. In fact, over his last ten starts he is yet to have back to back non-quailty starts. Matt Cain is a fellow Alabama boy from Dothan and he is having a season to remember as he is 9-2 witha  2.57era.  The young man is similar in that he has not had back to back non-quality starts over his last ten starts and he comes off a rough effort in his last go around giving up 5 runs in 7 innings to the Brewers on the road.  I look for both pitchers to do well today as the Under is the Under is 4-0 when Cain starts against a team with a winning record and the Under is 6-2-1 in Wainwright's last 9 starts against a team with a winning record.
