Columbus Blue Jackets at Los Angeles Kings

2 Unit Play  Take L.A. vs. Columbus (10:30 pm ET) - Why don't I like Columbus? Let me count the ways. They haven't won in four straight. They have lost six of their last eight road games, and have averaged just 1.75 goals per game over that stretch. They are 10-23 on the road overall. They made a coaching change right before the break and the new staff hasn't gained traction yet. They have a talent deficit that wasn't helped by their being sellers at the deadline. The Kings have beaten Columbus convincingly in two of three meetings this year, are a solid road team, and have done an exceptional job overall against teams with losing records (18-7). They have lost their last two, but neither have been horrifying efforts, and they are close to good form. They are the far better team here, and they have much more to play for - they are only three points out of the crucial fourth playoff spot (home ice advantage in the first round), while Columbus is just counting the days until golf season. My numbers give the Kings a solid edge, so this is very attractive value.
