San Francisco 49ers at Oakland Raiders

5 Unit Play. #280 Take Over in San Francisco @ Oakland (Saturday 9 pm) This Bay Area battle is always a favorite of fans in Northern California and both teams have been impressive during the NFL Preseason. Each team is 2-0 on the season and Oakland is averaging 24 ½ points per game and San Francisco is averaging 26 points per game. The posted total on this game is way below the combine 50 points per game that these teams are averaging. Week 3 is generally when teams go all out in hopes of earning the victory. Most teams play their starters into the third quarter and I love the QB rotation of both of these teams. Even when Jason Campbell and Alex Smith go out of the game, I do not expect more of a drop-off on offense. Both teams have loads of experience quarterbacks behind them with the exception of Nate Davis. But Davis looked impressive against Minnesota last week with his arm and his legs. The line on this game is a pick’em but we will not worry about who wins this game and just collect with the over. Because both coaches are defensive minded, the posted total is about three points lower than where it should be.
