Atlanta Hawks at New Jersey Nets

Just think this total is a few points too low. We had this one pegged in the low 180s and think there is some value here. The Nets are a botton-5 defensive team, allowing 97 PPG this season. These teams have played twice already this season and the Nets allowed 105 and 106, respectively. The Hawks have surpassed the century mark in seven of their nine games this season. We understand a couple of those games were OT games, but we think that the Hawks can score some points tonight and we expect them to pass 100 again. That would mean the Nets won’t need to score many points for this one to get over the posted number. While posting a stinker in the first meeting with only 70 points, the Nets improved dramatically in the next meeting with 98 points. Since these teams are pretty familiar with each other the Nets should know how to attack Atlanta offensively and we think they try to push the pace a bit here. The Nets took 11 more shots in the second meeting than they did in the first, and at home here tonight we think they play with a more attacking style.
