Miami Heat at Dallas Mavericks

5 Unit Play Take #709 Miami over Dallas (9:00pm est): Back and forth we go in what has been a see-saw series thus far between these two teams in the NBA Finals. Through it all a few things have really stood out. When a team has had it's backs to the wall and feel more of a need to win, they have done so. In this game tonight that pressure looks to more on the Heat again. I have said this numerous times throughout this series, the Heat seem to always play their best when they have to play their best. You give Miami a chance to catch a breath a bit and they instantly lay their foot off the gas. That is how they operate and they have done so at every opportunity of this series. When this series is tied up they step up and play a good game from start to finish, taking care of business. The next game, which doesn't mean as much to the Heat as they are now ahead again, they will lay off a bit and let their guard down (which happened in both games two and four).

The other key in this one is how Miami has clearly outplayed Dallas in this series so far. They have had their chances to put Dallas away in every game so far but just haven't been able to do so. It's like the Heat don't have to play their best game and they are still fine while it's taking max effort for Dallas to stay close. The LeBron isn't clutch talk is also starting up again which should only motivate one of the games best players to play well in the only quarter the Heat have struggled in up till now. Keep in mind the Heat have led in every game of this series going into the fourth quarter. It's been a combination of things that has helped propel the Mavericks over the top late in their wins. Just not sure you can count on these things to fall perfectly in the Mavs lap again late in this game.

Once again you can toss out the stats here. It's all about effort and execution and this series has been very easy to read so far. No reason to change what has been working and what we all see so clearly. It's Miami's turn tonight. Take the Heat in this one.
