Atlanta Hawks at Chicago Bulls

3-Unit Play #507 Take Atlanta/Chicago UNDER 183 (8 p.m. EST, Tuesday)

When all is said and done this season, these teams should both be in the Top 5 defensively for points allowed. The Bulls are probably the best defensive team in the league and the Hawks are not too far behind them. We had this total in the high 170s, so there is some nice value here. Atlanta is coming in on a back-to-back after a masterful defensive performance in Miami last night, holding the high-flying heat to 92 points and handing them their first loss. This team is allowing only 87 points per game through five games and four of those five have gone under. The Bulls have been very stout defensively and they held the Grizzlies to just 64 points in this same building last time out. We think with two strong defensive teams like this (neither team has an offense that is going to break out for 100+ on a regular basis) that we will see a slow grind type of game. With such a low total and the Bulls being very large favorites, the bookies think that the Bulls are really going to clamp down on D tonight and we would have to agree. However, think the pace here will be slow and we just don’t see the Bulls putting up a lot of points. Hopefully the Hawks have a letdown after their big win last night because a blowout means no fouls at the end of the game and that is the only thing we think can derail this play.
