MONEYLINE: Los Angeles Dodgers -115
LOSS for -5 unit(s)
Los Angeles Dodgers at Milwaukee Brewers
#905 Los Angeles Dodgers over Milwaukee Brewers (7:05p.m.) While Los Angeles (55-31) is cruising with the best record in MLB, Milwaukee (44-42) is struggling to keep pace with the Cardinals in the NL Central. The Brewers have lost seven of nine and are now three games behind St. Louis. It matches their largest deficit since May 7. It has been the same old story lately for the Crew, inconsistency in both hitting and pitching. Last night they got 12-hits and took the lead in the bottom of the eight only to see the bullpen do an elfoldo once again. Joe Torre’s Dodgers have won 7 of their last 10 games. They have won 27 games on the road, the most in MLB. LA tries to win their third in a row behind Jeff Weaver (5-2, 3.32) who will make his fifth start of the year. Weaver is 2-0 with a 3.15 ERA as a starter this season. His last start was June 20. He is 1-1 with a 1.35 ERA in three relief appearance since then. The real key in this contest is the Brewer starter, Mike Burns (1-2, 5.57). He will make his fourth start for Milwaukee. The journeyman right-hander, on his fourth team in three seasons, gave up seven runs over 4 2/3 innings Sunday in a loss to the Cubs. He is not the answer. Offensively the Dodgers are being led by Matt Kemp. He is 15 for 27 since Manny Ramirez’s return to the lineup. Five of LA’s 13 hits last night wetre homers. We are looking for the Dodgers to continue their heavy hitting against Burns, and a depleted Brewers pitching staff tonight. It is our MLB Game Of The Year.

Seattle Mariners @ Chicago White Sox Thursday July 29, 2010 8:10 pm
3 Unit Play Take 922 Chicago White Sox vs. Seattle (8 pm ET) Seattle showed a bit of a spark last night, but it wasn't enough. They have lost the first three games of this series, and far more games than they have won overall recently. They are not in a good place. The White Sox ... read more

Florida Marlins @ San Francisco Giants Thursday July 29, 2010 3:45 pm
3 Unit Play Take 908 San Francisco vs. Florida (3:45 pm ET) The Giants' bullpen let us down in a big way yesterday, but I'm ready to give them a chance to redeem themselves here. Despite the collapse I still like the Giants more than the Marlins in all of the same ways as I did. ... read more

Atlanta Braves @ Washington Nationals Tuesday July 27, 2010 7:05 pm
3 Unit Play Take 903 Atlanta at Washington (7 pm ET) This is a battle of this year's phenom against last year's. Tommy Hanson was truly special last year for the Braves, and he has been pretty good again this year. He is pitching solidly recently and can be trusted. Stephen Strasburg ... read more

Florida Marlins @ San Francisco Giants Monday July 26, 2010 10:15 pm
5 Unit Play Take 958 San Francisco vs. Florida (10 pm ET) The Giants are playing fantastic baseball - they return home after winning six of seven division road games. That one loss was started by Barry Zito - today's starter - but he was very strong in the loss and just didn't ... read more

Cincinnati Reds @ Houston Astros Sunday July 25, 2010 2:05 pm
3 Unit Play Take 907 Cincinnati at Houston (2 pm ET) The Reds are looking to finish off the sweep in this series, and I am confident that they can pull it off. The young Mike Leake starts for the Reds. He was very good in his last start, and has been solid on the road all year. ... read more

Minnesota Twins @ Baltimore Orioles Saturday July 24, 2010 7:05 pm
3 Unit Play Take 971 Minnesota at Baltimore (7 pm ET) The Orioles have won just twice in their current eight game home stand, so home field is hardly an advantage for them. They send out Brian Matusz to start, and that's not a reason to be confident. The young guy has talent, but ... read more

New York Mets @ Los Angeles Dodgers Friday July 23, 2010 10:10 pm
If I was setting the odds here I would have the Mets as quite solid favorites. The Mets are playing lousy baseball right now, but outside of their last two wins the Dodgers aren't exactly tearing things up either. What I really like here is the play of Johan Santana recently. He ... read more

Chicago White Sox @ Oakland Athletics Friday July 23, 2010 10:05 pm
3 Unit Play Take 927 White Sox at Oakland (10 pm ET) Oakland is playing well recently, but the White Sox should be favored here. Chicago is starting Mark Buehrle. He has found his form recently - he's going deep, not giving up a lot of runs, and limiting walks. He's comfortable ... read more

San Diego Padres @ Pittsburgh Pirates Friday July 23, 2010 7:05 pm
5 Unit Play Take 905 San Diego at Pittsburgh (7 pm ET) Both of these teams come into this game off a win, and both were playing pretty well before that. I'll back the class every time, though, and the class here is definitely San Diego. They are a solid road team - 25-20 - and ... read more

San Francisco Giants @ Arizona Diamondbacks Thursday July 22, 2010 9:40 pm
5 Unit Play Take 961 San Francisco at Arizona (9:30 pm ET) The Giants have won seven of nine and are in very good form. Finally. Arizona is just coming off an unexpected sweep of the Mets, but that doesn't indicate how they have generally been playing recently. Matt Cain starts ... read more
