Texas Rangers at Detroit Tigers

3-unit Play Take Texas Rangers/Detroit Tigers UNDER (4:35pm EST) The American League Championship Series is heating up as the Tigers took Game 3 last night to cut the Rangers lead to 2-1 in the series. The deeper they go into the series, the more the pressure is going to build and tenser it's going to get. I love to bet the Under in these high pressure environments as the starting pitchers usually rise to the occasion and only the best arms are used in the bullpen to get advantageous matchups. Additionally, we have another huge reason to look to the Under in Game 4 tonight - many of the best hitters are banged up. Victor Martinez had an oblique injury last night after hitting a home run and there's no telling if he'll be able to go tonight and how effective he will be if he does. The Tigers already suffered a similar injury to outfielder Delmon Young and have lost Magglio Ordonez for the entire series. Without much depth on the bench, these injuries are significant to the offense. The Rangers have issues as well as Adrian Beltre has not been 100% and it's certainly shown in his at bats and in running the bases. It's just that time of the year where not many of the position players can claim that they're fully healthy, but they're obviously toughing it out in order to get the ultimate prize.

We also have two quality starting pitchers going in Rick Porcello and Matt Harrison. Both of them pitched well down the stretch of the regular season and in their only starts during the postseason. They'll have the upper hand against the mash units on offense and then the high-powered bullpens will step in to shut it down in the last couple of innings like they have thus far. Take the Under in tonight's matchup as it has an excellent shot of coming through.
