5 Unit Play. #602 Take Duke over Butler (Monday 9:21 pm CBS) Butler and Michigan State set basketball back a couple of decades with their performance on Saturday and I just do not believe Butler has enough scoring to keep up with Duke. It is hard to handicap the point spread winner because of the uncertainty of a couple of key players for Butler (Mack & Howard). But even if they play, I see Duke winning this game by double-digits. Duke played their best game of the season on Saturday and the big three came ready to play. Duke finally has the size to hold their own down low and Zoubek, Thomas, and the Plumlee brothers really understand their role. Michigan State got blown out in their home state last year by an ACC team and I see a similar occurrence happening on Monday with Butler in Indianapolis. Duke is 5-0 in their last five games when they enter as a favorite. Butler is 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games coming off a straight-up victory. Butler was very fortunate to play Michigan State without Kalin Lucas, as that finally caught up with the Spartans. If he would have played, the Bulldogs would have been knocked out. That will not be the case tonight with Duke, as they are healthy. I believe this is the worst NCAA Title game since the 1980s and any three of the Duke championship teams of the past would be a double-digit favorite over either one of these teams. But Duke is the best of the rest this season and they will march on to a double digit victory.
