5 Unit Play. #819 Take Michigan State over Butler (Saturday 6:07 pm CBS) I am really surprised that Michigan State is not favored in this contest but that just works to our advantage. Michigan State has a great edge in size and expect them to dominate this game on the offensive glass and in the paint. The role players have really stepped up for Michigan State since the injury to Kalin Lucas and they are playing at a high level during the tournament. Butler is a ball control offense and thus is not be able to blow many teams out. They like to keep the scoring in the sixties and this inability to run Michigan State out of the gym early will bite them in the end. Every close game seems to go the way of the Spartans and this magical run will not end until Monday night. Michigan State reached the Final Four last year and that experience will pay great dividends in this contest. Butler caught a drained Kansas State team on Saturday and that will not be the case with Michigan State this Saturday. Butler is just 3-10 ATS in their next game following an ATS victory. Michigan State is 25-10 ATS (1 push) in their last 36 NCAA Tournament Games. Michigan State was ranked No. 2 to start the season and expect them to take care of business on Saturday. MSU will win this game straight-up and getting points is just icing on the cake. They have already beat a similar team too Butler in Northern Iowa earlier this tournament.
