Green Bay Packers at Arizona Cardinals

At 4:40 pm, our selection is on the Arizona Cardinals minus the points over Green Bay.  Green Bay ended its regular season on a 7-1 straight-up, and 7-0-1 ATS run, with its only outright loss by a mere 1 points to Pittsburgh, when the Steelers miraculously scored on the game's final play.  Unfortunately for Green Bay, teams often come into the Wild Card round "red-hot," only to find themselves bounced out of the playoffs.  And, even worse for the Packers, is that several of my best NFL systems line up on the Cardinals this Sunday.  Arizona, obviously, didn't extend itself very much last week, and fell to Green Bay 33-7.  But the Cards blew out St Louis 31-10 at home the previous week, and upset Minnesota in their home game previous to that (when the Vikings' record was 10-1).  And, over the past 25 seasons, .334 (or better) NFL teams are a super 15-0 ATS at home (including 4-0 in the Playoffs), if they're off a home loss, but won at home two games back, and are now priced from -6 to +3 points against a winning team.  Additionally, the Cardinals are an eye-popping 28-9 ATS at home off a home loss since 1986, including a perfect 8-0 ATS since 2003!  Finally, since 1980, .583 (or better) NFL teams off an upset loss are a terrific 39-2 SU and 31-8 ATS at home vs. foes off an upset win, if our home team isn't favored by more than 9 points.  Take Arizona.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.  And don't miss my other NFL and Hoops winners on this weekend.
