Northwestern Wildcats at Missouri Tigers

At 8pm, our selection is on the Northwestern Wildcats plus the points over Missouri, as we will fade the Tigers, who fall into a negative 17-42 ATS Bowl system of mine off their season-ending 20-point loss to Oklahoma.  Also, teams off a loss in their conference championship game tend to suffer a letdown in their bowl game when favored by 5+ points, as they've covered just 31% of the time.  And double-digit bowl favored which are NOT off a momentum-building SU/ATS win have covered just 12 of 41 Bowl games.  Northwestern's top running back, Tyrell Sutton was upgraded to "probable" last week (after missing the last four games of the regular season), and Sutton's return will give the Wildcats' offense a boost since he's a great open-field runner.  Additionally, Northwestern QB C.J. Bacher will find enough holes in Missouri's secondary (ranked in NCAA FB's bottom 3 in pass defense) to keep the Wildcats close.  Take the points.  Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.
