Detroit Shock at SA Silver Stars
Duel between two top teams of the league, with Detroit going to San Antonio. Detroit comes to this game with a terrible spot, which was also created by the team itself. This will be the last game in a brutal schedule, where they have played 7 games in just 11 days. The team had a back to back game before today's game, by playing at 28 at Chicago and at 29 at home against Atlanta. In this last game they decided to rest their center Ford, counting that the game against Atlanta would so be very easy for them that they could give some much needed rest to some of their players. What happened was that Atlanta obligated Detroit to pull out an huge effort in order to win the game, so huge that Nolan had to play the whole game (40:00), which certainly obligated a lot of physical and mental effort that the team wasn't expecting to need to pull out.
Today they will face a team who bounced back from a double loss against Houston by defeating Minnesota at home last Saturday. San Antonio has been playing well lately and they are 4-0 against opponents of the Eastern Conference this season. The most curious is that playing at home and being a short favorite, they have won and covered in all games and we are talking about games against Phoenix, Seattle twice, Indiana and the Sparks. The team unlike Detroit has a favorable schedule, with two days to rest and in that spot they are 4-0 SU and ATS this season. I expect a good win for SA today. Take the Silver Stars in here.
