This weekend will feature one of the most highly anticipated college football games in years. Everyone has been looking towards this game from the beginning of the year. Everyone suspected that both teams would go undefeated and would meet in the SEC Championship game. Whoever wins this game will move on to the National Championship game while the other will have their title hopes dashed. This one should be fun.
The Gators are defending champions and everyone knows about their hero Tim Tebow. This will be Tebow's final SEC Championship game and his second-to-last game in college. He is a great guy and everyone expects him to play great like he always does. The defense for the Gators is especially tough with all 11 of their starters returning from last year. Urban Meyer is looking for his third National Championship ring and he will have his guys ready to go.
Nick Saban's Crimson Tide will also be ready to go as he is one of the best college coaches in the country. They also have a very stout defense and a potent offense. Their offense is led by running back Mark Ingram who is a Heisman contender. Not many defenses have been able to slow him down and it remains to be seen whether or not the Gators defense can.
While Florida comes into this game as 5 point favorites, there are many out there that think Alabama is the better team. As evidence they point to the easy wins over some of the teams that Florida struggled to beat. For example, if it were not for a blown call by the officials against Arkansas, the Hogs might have pulled off a win against the Gators. Against Alabama, the Hogs could not even move the ball. Expect this one to be one of the classic college games of the decade.
