THURSDAY NFL THE NEW MNF?

Anyone that has been around the NFL since the inception of Monday Night Football, is aware of, or has heard of the dominance by home underdogs in the early years. It was exciting for fans, and the novelty seemed to raise the level of play, inspired by the lights, and the home crowds, that were extremely enthusiastic. That fire couldn't burn forever, and the system that once was pouring out winners year after year, lost its legs, and went into the history books.
So what do we have now? Do we have a replacement, that is the antithesis of what the Monday Night Football home dog was all about, only bigger, better, and stronger? It appeasr there is a rising star, under the radar to most gamblers, but let me introduce you to Thursday Night Favorites, Monday Night Football home dog style...but with more juice!
What the Monday Night home dog was to bettors, the Thursday NFL Favorite has risen above and beyond anything the Monday Night Home dog ever dreamed of being, and this Thursday Thug has been stealing the cash now for a half of a decade running.
Last year this system came out running with the NY Giants playing host to the Washington Redskins as a -4.5 point favorite. It soon showed that it was ready for another big year, with a 16-7 Giant win and cover. So what could this system do in 2008-09? It ended up going 7-2-1 ATS, for 78% winners! That included a 3-0 sweep of favorites during Turkey Day!
Looking back at 2007-08, the system did not disappoint, as it turned in an even better 7-1 ATS winning year, good for 88% winners!...and yes, another 3-0 Turkey Day sweep of favorites!

So looking back now 5 years running, the NFL Thursday Favorite, the antithesis, of the now dead and buried Monday Night home dog, has gone an amazing 25-5 ATS or cashed 83.3% winners!
Looking at the last 5 years on Thanksgiving, the favorites have cashed in all 13 games, going a perfect 13-0 ATS...really gobbling up the cash!
So Thursday we have the first test in 2009-10, with the defending Superbowl Champs hosting the Tennessee Titans. What also can be noted is the Superbowl winner is now 7-0-1 ATS in their last 8 opening games the following year!!!
Does this mean the Steelers are an ironclad lock to win and cover here? Absolutely not! It takes more than 30 games to make something worthy to trust on the blind, but the recipe of the last 5 years, has called for deep frying the books, the question is, can this system keep its legs for a 6th year, or is it time to fade, and bury it with the Monday Night home dogs?
I'm off a banner NFL season, as well as a banner NCAAF season, and have been fortunate enough to start NCAAF at 7-0, and I'm looking forward to the start of the NFL season.
