A lot is made of teams playing with no rest in the NBA. The question is does it matter? Here is my latest research and findings on NBA teams playing with no rest in various situations:
CONDITION:
TEAM WITH 0 REST AND HOME:    1378-1500    47.9%
                                             AWAY:    3012-3081    49.4%
OPPT REST=0                     HOME:     787-817       49.1%
                      1                                       423-477      47.0%
                      2                                       115-148      43.7%
                      3 or more                            60-58        50.8%

It is clear a team with no rest has a slightly negative association, but none that would pass a log liklihood test for profitability. The only area of interest would be a team at home facing a team with 2 days rest, as you can see the result is just 43.7%. So in your NBA handicapping it would be good idea to steer clear of NBA hme teams facing a team off of 2 days rest.
That doesn't say there are not team biases playing without rest. here are the ones that stand out good or bad, so you can add them to your NBA arsenol against the books.
