LSU vs. Georgia Tech
I always prefer teams with the better defense and rushing and Georgia Tech has both of them here. If UGA can go on the road and defeat the likes of LSU fairly easily, then why can't Georgia Tech have luck who defeated Georgia handily in the second half of their rivalry game? Georgia Tech is better defensively as well as with their rushing attack and they should do well here with the home crowd behind them although LSU does travel well and has a lot of faithful in the Atlanta area. Although the line now sits at -4 which allows for a field goal loss and still a cover, but nevertheless, this is a big game for Johnson to secure a bowl win already for the Jackets as nothing could be better for the Jackets than obtaining a bowl win + defeating the rival Bulldogs on the road.
Boston College vs. Vanderbilt
I've mentioned many teams that whenever you have 75% on a team such as the Celtics (80% on them) over the Blazers or the Cavs (74%) over the Heat it usually spells trouble. BC is the better team but they weren't all that sharp against Virginia Tech in my opinion so they are looking to bounce-back in that same token, Vandy is relatively at home here and is trying to take anything positive away from this season. Over 75% is on BC and the line sits at 3.5, wouldn't be a bit surprised to see a low scoring game get decided by a field goal.
Minnesotta vs. Kansas
Another Big 12 vs. Big 10 Contest. The last one featured Northwestern getting it done as they nearly won outright and easily covered the 12 point spread. But, Kansas is a bit different in my opinion. This team is 22nd in the nation on offense, 8th in passing yards but just 81st in rushing yards and features a defense that is ranked 115th in passing yards allowed. Minny ranks just 91st overall on offense, but has a defense ranked 76th overall. Remember, Kansas comes off a big win against Missouri but Minnesota will look to have their seniors go out on a better note than their miserable 0-55 loss to Iowa at home. Minny has lost their last four games coming into this game including the last 3 of 4 spreads as well.
