NFL 2009 SEASON WINS PREDICTOR

The NFL season is closing in, and that means everyone has an opinion on who will finish where when the season concludes. Lots of which are based on what the teams did the previous year, and taking a look at what key players were added to shore up strengths and what was lost, that might become a weakness this season. The other area to look at is what injuries destroyed a team a year ago, that will be added to the mix this season.

All of that is well and good but I have a season win predictor that shows teams at 108-60 or 64.3% accurate predictions over the past 13 seasons, and a secondary system that has produced similar numbers. The secondary system is very visible and represents 25% of each teams NFL schedule, and those are the 4 AFC vs NFC clashes that take place each year. teams that go 4-0 are usually subject to playing against a much stiffer conference the following year as the teams rotate division to division, and likewise, the teams that go 0-4 are likely to face a weaker division this year over a year ago.

Ok, so let's get right to the nuts and bolts and see what we have, and you can decide if you want to pull the trigger on these offerings:

the last 13 years, teams that lost 3 to 6 more games than they did the prior season have gone over the season win total at a 67% rate (58-29) the last 13 years teams that won 3 to 5 more games than they did the prior season have gone under the season win total 61.7% of the time. (50-31), Combined the last 13 years these teams are 108-60 or 64.3%!!!!
