NCAA Football Totals Provide Extra Opportunities

Are you taking advantage of all the opportunities presented to you in the world of college football betting? If you aren't playing totals on a regular basis then I believe you are missing out on a great way to beat the books. The against the spread play may be more popular, but "over/unders" are often where I find the most money can be made.
If you go to your favorite sportsbook and check the betting limits for college football, you will see that there are lower limits in place for totals betting. Do you really think this is just for some random reason? The books realize that they don't spend as much time on totals and they have a more difficult time setting a perfectly accurate total, so they make the limits lower to cover for potential losses.
There are several factors that go into handicapping a college football total. The first factors I like to consider are the matchups between the offensive and defensive units in the game. There are definitely times where a certain offensive scheme can consistently give a defense trouble, and you must account for this kind of thing. Another key is the tempo at which the game will be played. If both of the teams are running a hurry-up offense then they will get many more plays off and have the potential to score more points. You'll also want to consider recency, meaning how the two teams are playing of late. I find college football to be a sport where recent trends are particularly helpful in deciding whether a possible bet is an actual play or not. Also, I highly recommend using the history between these two schools. There are some teams that just tend to play a low scoring game against each other every year. This can be because of coaching matchups or various factors, but you usually don't want to bet against recent history, especially if the same coaches are still in place.
I have been very successful in handicapping college football over the past few years, and the primary reason for that has been the extra close attention I have paid to totals. I believe that in order to do extremely well in sports betting you must be able to think outside of the box and dig deep to look for information that isn't widely available. This is all part of getting an edge on the books each week when the totals are released.
If you already deal in the college football totals world then I say stay on the path that can help you be successful! If you have been avoiding totals, I highly recommend you change your strategy. Understand that I am not saying against the spread or moneyline wagers are unwise, because I make these wagers and do well with them the majority of the time. I am simply saying that the totals market can often be your best chance to beat the books, and that is what this is all about!
