Milwaukee vs. Washington

The line for this game is not released yet, however, bear in mind that the Bucks beat this Washington team at home last time out in a tight ballgame which was decided by a bucket 105-102 in overtime. Milwaukee was the home dog and they covered the 2.5 line. Milwaukee is such a terrible road team as iit is, but they do come off a 20+ point loss to the Sixers which does bode well for a bounce-back. Washington comes off a tough 3 point loss to Charlotte at home so they have good reason to bounce-back as well and they haven't lost a back to back cover in quite some time. Do I think Washington likely covers this game yes, is it exceeding evidence, not necessarily. Washington's 3 point threat in Stevenson is listed as questionable for this game, so keep that in mind.

Seattle vs. Indiana

This is a game that does bode well for Indiana. They come off a frustrating road trip where they lost to Cleveland by 8, the Spurs by 11 and the Rockets by 18. They did beat the Bucks by 22 at home and they lost to the Sonics earlier this year by a bucket so this is a revenge game as well. The Sonics come off a close loss to the Raptors on the road. Indiana comes off a frustrating road trip and with the revenge, they are in a good spot for a cover here today.

Portland vs. Minnesotta

Portland beat this team 90-79 on the road last time and 109-98 at home as well back in December. The public is all over Portland in fact making them the highest public play in the NBA today with over 75% of the public on them. The Blazers lost on the road to Cleveland so they are tryng to bounce-back and they did beat the Knicks and a very hot Bucks team at that time at home. Portland is typically very good on a bounce-back but the Twolves did win on the road at Sacramento (who beat the Lakers) and the L.A. Clippers, no thanks, but the Twolves are likely to win this game outright but I won't be playing anything on it.

Utah vs. Chicago

This is a game that Chicago can win outright. Utah beat this team 97-87 last time out in Utah but Chicago did cover the +12 spread. Utah has won their last 5 straight including road wins at Phoenix and at Memphis, both of which were covers. Don't forget the Bulls have covered their last 2 home games against the Cavs and Memphis and will look to win outright here. What do I think will happen? Well, I think the Bulls are likely to win this game outright, but in the same token, the Jazz have won 5 straight and are playing good ball, so I don't necessarily see exceeding evidence to back the Bulls although I do think they are in a good spot coming home after a tough loss to the Pistons (they did cover that game and were competitive).

Memphivs vs. Phoenix

Phoenix beat this team 127-113 last time in Memphis, but remember, it was a very, very close game till' the end when Phoenix not only managed to win straight up which they were on the verge of losing straight up in Memphis but managed to cover as well. Memphis has lost their last 9 of 10 covers with the only exception beating New Jersey at home, Phoenix comes off a nice win over the Spurs, and honestly, Memphis can stay competitive in this game as they do come off a 30 point thumping at home to the Celtics, but no thanks as how can you back a Memphis team that is not playing well at all right now losing 9 of 10 covers but Phoenix isn't necessarily blowing anyone out of the building either at this point.

Toronto vs. Lakers

The Raptors are still without Bosh, but they have a way of staying competitive in ballgames on the road or at home. Frankly, I do think the Lakers bounce-back here after the loss to the Kings, but giving this many points to a Raptors team that is feisty on the road and remembers the thumping they took to the Lakers at home in Toronto, so they will have some revenge here, I can see this game going either way. no thanks.

NCAA Tuesday Tournament Research

Penn vs. Princeton

UPenn is a top 275 team on the road at a top 300 team in Princeton. UPenn is 3-3 against teams that are ranked between 200 and 300 power rankings. UPenn did beat Yale and Dartmouth on the road who are top 300 ranked teams, they did beat Princeton by 5 at home, Princeton does come off a home win against Columbia and played very close games against top 150 Brown and top 100 Cornell. You have to respect that, no lean on this game.

Weber State vs. Northern Arizona

Weber State is a top 200 team, facing Northern Arizona who is a top 175 team. This is the Big Sky Semi Final Round. These 2 teams are familiar with each other as Weber State is not a very good road team and lost 56-69 at home to Northern Arizona and 71-74 on the road to the team just recently on the road on February 28th. This game is in Oregon so it's not like as if one team has a clear home court advantage as both will travel fairly decent to this game and a bit surprised to see the line this low. I do like Northern Arizona here as this is the #2 seed NA vs. the #3 seed WS. But, I just think the line is shady and Weber State played very well on the road at Northern Arizona. no thanks.

Cleveland State vs. Butler

This is the Horizon League Championship and it is located in Indiana. Both teams should travel decently for the game but of course, Butler is in their home state for this ballgame. Cleveland State is a top 80 team on the road at Butler who is a top 25 team. Butler obviously has revenge from an earlier season loss to Cleveland State 56-52. Butler did get revenge at home to Cleveland State by defeating them 46-51. Folks, Cleveland State is a very good team. Their last total 6 losses have combined by a total of 50 points. They have beaten Butler, Valpo twice to get to this game and Wright State. In a game that is totaled at 120, I believe the 10 points are significant here and I think Cleveland State likely keeps this a very close game as the oddsmakers are making it very tough on Butler to cover imo.

Louisiana Tech vs. San Jose State

This is the Western Athletic Conference 1st Round. This game is in New Mexico and La Tech is one of the worst teams in the nation - in fact, they are one of the worst 15 teams in the entire nation. They did beat Hawaii and San Jose State team - the very team they play today at home - they beat San Jose State recently 87-83. They played San Jose State on the road and lost by 10 points. If I'm not mistaken, La Tech is the worst team in the nation away from home at 0-12. San Jose State is limping in with 5 straight losses however despite being a top 275 team and at this stage in the game it is all about confidence and they are not the greatest team on the road either. no thanks.

Idaho State vs. Portland State

Idaho State is a top 300 team on the road at Portland State who is a top 140 team. The deal with Portland State is that they should easily win this game but should not get over confident. They did win by 10 points on the road and 23 points on the road. Portland State is 1st in the conferece while Idaho State is 5th in the Big Sky conference as this is also a semi-final game. This game is in Portland, Oregon and given the fact that Idaho State has consistently struggled against Portland State, they are typically a team of repetition, I think they are likely to struggle in this game as well. But, is this game have exceeding evidence in favor of Portland State - well they are at home, but Idaho State could play some inspired basketball here as they only lost by 10 at home to this team - but they typically struggle very much on the road and this is basically a home game for the #1 seed in Portland State as this game is in Portland, Oregon which is where the Big Sky Championships are being held.
