Mr. East's Weekly Look at NCAAF Title Chasers

Here we are back again exploring the nation's unbeaten NCAAF teams, and as we get ready to close out the month of October, we remain at 7 teams chasing the coveted BCS Title game entry. Among the 7 remain 2 teams from non-BCS Conferences, as well as 11 teams with just a single loss, waiting in the wings for some to stumble. Let's take a look at this week's match-ups and see if any of the 7 are in jeopardy this week.
TEXAS (7-0) @ OKLAHOMA ST. (6-1)
The Longhorns went to Mizzou last week in a letdown spot, and proved they aren't going to let that happen. They will face what should be their toughest remaining test vs the Cowboys, and a win here, might very well punch their ticket to the title game. UPSET POTENTIAL: LOW
CINCINNATI (7-0) @ SYRACUSE (3-4)
The Bearcats won big despite QB Tony Pike sitting out with an injury. The Bearcats unbeaten string, certainly doesn't look to be in jeopardy this week at Syracuse. Their biggest test will be the last game of the season vs Pittsburgh. The problem is the Cats need help, because even running the title, will not get them to the Championship game, as long as Bama or Florida, along with the Horns stay unbeaten. UPSET POTENTIAL: ALMOST 0
INDIANA (4-4) @ IOWA (8-0)
The Hoosiers are an improved team, and not improved enough to take down the Hawkeyes on the road. The Hawkeyes big remaining test will come on Nov. 14th at Ohio St. I look for them to go into that contest at an impressive 10-0. UPSET POTENTIAL: ZILCH
UNLV (3-5) @ TCU (7-0)
The Frog's leaped past BYU, in a situation that was likely to be their biggest obstacle on the road to an unbeaten season. They have one big one left, and it isn't this one, as the Frogs, even with a majr letdown, should walk past the Rebs here. What is setting up as a potential "Black Saturday" for the unbeatens, TCU's biggest test comes on Nov. 14th also at home vs Utah. UPSET POTENTIAL: ZILCH
GEORGIA (4-3) @ FLORIDA (7-0)
The Gators haven't looked as pretty as they did last year, but still getting it done. The defense has been huge, the offense somewhat disappointing, but still a Championship caliber team. Georgia can play, and could give the Gators a game if their not careful. UPSET POTENTIAL: SMALL
SAN JOSE ST. (1-5) @ BOISE ST. (7-0)
Once the Bronco's got past Oregon, the sailing was clear, and they have just one potential land mine left on the schedule, and that is vs Nevada, but they get them on the Smurf Turf, so looks like the Boise bandwagon is riding into the BCS Bowl picture unbeaten. UPSET POTENTIAL: 0
ALABAMA (8-0)
The Tide was very fortunate, as they blocked 2 potential Tennessee game winning FG's late in the game, when they tried to blow what appeared to be a safe lead late. Next up the Tide has a serious challenge from the Bayou Bengals at home. If they get past the pesky Cats, they have Auburn to finish, and then what would appear to be a National Championship playin game vs the Gators, which should be a classic.
