Texas vs. Oakland
Texas comes off winning 3-2 yesterday as they are now a solid 15-12 for the year; in fact, they lead the AL West with the 15-12 record as our 6 unit future on them (over 72.5 wins) is going well. McCarthy comes off a stellar 3 hit performance against the Wsox at home helping his team win 9-6 and he has done what has been asked of him for a 3rd/4th best starter for this team. He is 3-0 with a 4.67era on the year. Cahill has pitched 4 of 5 quality starts this year as he is 0-2 with a 4.5era. It is misleading however as once again, he has only had 1 bad outing for 7 runs against TB at home. Besides that he has pitched stellar on the year (4 of 5 quality starts). I can see this game going either way as Oakland has the better pitcher on the mound today imo but Texas can easily put up some runs on the board as Oakland is 24th in the league in offense.
Minnesota vs. Baltimore
Minnesota comes off a loss yesterday as the game was halted short. Slowey got hit early and that did it in for him as the Os offense was able to get to him. Perkins has given up 9 runs over the last 11 innings. Bergessen has pitched well in his last start giving up about 3 runs in 6 innings, but the Twins look to bounce-back today and he could be in for a bit of a let down as I'm not sure if I trust him with back to back quality starts. Bergessen has typically not done well against the Os as he is 0-0 with nearly a 12 era in two apperances against them. A small lean on the Os as Perkins has been struggling this year.
Cleveland vs. Boston
Cleveland behind Pavano and being a +153 dog got it done big over the Redsox yesterday. Sowers makes his first start of the year, and I expect him to be a bit rusty but still effective. Wake had his first non-quality start of the year so I do expect him to bounce-back today. Boston also comes off an ugly loss so they look to bounce-back as well. Give Cleveland credit as they are slowly creeping towards being .500 after a rough start to start the year. A small lean on the Under today.
Detroit vs. Chicago Whitesox
Galarraga goes for the Tigers today after picking up his first loss of the year. These two teams were rained out yesterday. He is on a bounce-back so he should pitch well, although, bear in mind he shutout the Wsox in 6 inns in his last start so the Sox are looking for some revenge here. Buehrle has pitched 5 straight quality starts this year as he is 4-0 with a 3.30 era. A small lean on the Under but no thanks, just staying away from this game.
Toronto vs. LAA
Ray pitched decent on May 2nd as he did not pick up a win but helped his team win 5-4 in the ND. Weaver goes for the Angels today and after two consecutive strong starts he had a bit of a weak start against the Yanks on the road in his last go. Toronto absolutely spanked this team 13-1 in the last game so obviously the Angels look to rebound at home today.
Yankees vs. Rays
I expect Niemann to pitch better today as he comes off a rough start and Andy too comes off a relatively unimpressive start compared to his previous quality starts. I look for both pitchers to pitch better today and a lean on the Under, but it is tough to take an Under with both of these teams. Andy is 2-2 with a 4+ era against the Rays so I see this game going either way, but again, a small lean on the Under as the Yanks do come off a loss as well.
