Falcons vs. Saints
There are a few notes that you should keep for this game including the fact that it seems that Reggie Bush will not play this game as he has been downgraded to out, Redman will get the start while Petrino will avoid using Leftwich given his lack of mobility and poor play this year, but can use him if necessary as he is available to play. The true opening line of this game was the Saints -5 but it did go down given that Bush was downgraded as it sits at -3.5. Throughout las week I mentioned a principle that I believe is very valuable in the +3 concept where if a team is +3 or +3.5 and can be a active home dog - keep in mind with over 65% of the pubilc on the road favorite, the game is likely to go over. So, if you have a team that is a 35% or lower home dog with a +3 dog tag, there are decent opportunities for the game to go over. I used this principle for the Texans/Bucs over earlier this week and I think it is likely to apply here. The Saints desperately need this game to stay in the wild card picture although it seems that the Vikings have this baby wrapped up. The Falcons should have beat this team on the road frankly earlier this year but fell short so this is a revenge game, and don't forget for one instance, the Falcons have given up on this season as Petrino is going no where - he is remaining in Atlanta to continue to grow this team as this coach is not going back to the college ranks so he is hoping to build on anything for next year - just like the Packers did and used last year's great finish to feed off to this year's fast start. Atlanta lost 16-22 in the last game covering as the 9 point dog and the game went under 42.5 as it totaled 38. Keep in mind that New Orleans has played back to back unders on the road recently while the Falcons have played back to back overs on the road. I would not be surprised one bit here if the Falcons win outright as the Saints do have trouble on the road as I was on the Texans when they faced the Saints at home and I believe the Falcons will be very competitive and the public is likely in for a burial here hounding the Saints as huge public favorites.

Atlanta vs. Orlando
After 21 games, the Magic still have not lost back to back games all year as they come off a loss to the Pacers as they are at home this evening as almost double-digit favorites against my Hawks tonight. Keyon Dooling had a great quote in the AP that I want you to take a look at:
"We haven't been playing up to our standards, the standards we set for ourselves," guard Keyon Dooling said. "We kind of didn't believe anything because we have been able to win, so obviously we need to step up on the defensive end."
In essence, this team feels that they have not played decent defense and come off a game in which their highest turnover total to date. Did you know the Hawks have played the under in 9 of their last 10 ballgamse. Folks, contrary to popular belief the Hawks are an under and a defensive team believe it or not. Their offense lacks at times and their defense has yielded point totals of 78, 89, 106 (Pistons), 69, 92 and 80 in their last 6 ballgames. I believe this game is likely to go under and I think the Hawks are in a bat spot here as I would not be surprised if the Magic ran away with this game.
Dallas vs. New York
Losing 77 to 105 to the 76ers at home is embarrassing and this is after a 90-101 loss to the 76ers on the road. In fact, it is very surprising and a bit disgusting. But, nothing seems to surprise me anymore with the New York Knicks. They will look to rebound in what is likely to be substantial underdogs tonight, but I do have a feeling they will rebound well given that they will get up to play the Mavs. Remember, this team rallied to beat the Bucks earlier this year after losing terribly to the Celtics and Dallas outside of playing well at home have lost their last 4 of 5 outright on the road - 4 of 5 covers as well. You've got to have some galls today, but a I do believe the Knicks will be more competitive than what people give them credit for although wagering money on them is extremely frustrating. Nevertheless, based on the Knicks being competitive after a terrible loss and the fact they will be likely an active dog, a small lean on the over as well.
IC Monday Comp Pick! (Looking to g 5 in a Row!)
You have to stay principled with your selections as seasons can change but there are just some principles that I do not disregard regardless of anything. I do believe in the value of revenge and the Falcons lost by 6 points on the road to New Orleans with Leftwich at the helm and facing the Saints - in their dome - with Reggie Bush. In fact, the Falcons had a chance to win that ballgame late and failed to do so. This team now has a lot of things going for it - Roddy White is reaching close to a 1000 yards receiving as he was a number 1 draft pick of the Falcons a few years back and the AP Reports that Petrino will give Norwood more touches today. Combine that with the fact the Saints are a questionable road team as they lost to the Texans recently, this team will find it tough on the road against Atlanta. The Falcons start Redman who played very well at St. Louis coming in and patiently leading the offense as he nearly brought them back to a victory as they were down big early. He will look to feed off that today against a Saints team that I believe is a bit overrated and is vulnerable. Joe Horn of the Falcons faces his former team and I do not believe the Falcons have mailed it in and will be very competitive today on national television as they are likely to lose this game by a field goal, or win outright. The Saints have been just 1-5 ATS against the NFC South lately and the underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these 2 teams. This is also a solid fade of the favorite on Monday Night Football in a season the books have been getting hammered by favorites.
