Fresno State vs. Georgia Tech (Humanitarian Bowl)

Let's keep the 6-0 Run on back to back 3-0 Days going. Keep in mind that this game is on the Blue Turf in Boise - the home of the Boise State Broncos. I have Georgia Tech as a team ranked in the top 40 in the power rankings facing a Fresno State team that is ranked essentially in the top 70. Yet, I do not trust Georgia Tech on the road and this is why I have laid off in making a selection on this team. After all, Tech beat Notre Dame, Miami and Duke on the road and none of which are over impressive wins. This team did beat Clemson at home, but was that truly impressive considering the Clemson kicker missed countless kicks and Tech barely won? The Fresno State defense is decent, but not overly impressive as they were 76th in the nation in defense overall and top 60 in passing yards allowed. However, this team to their credit was top 20 in the nation in rushing. Speaking of great running games, Georgia Tech is no different as they love to rush the ball and frankly, their quarterback is not competent when it comes to the pass, so this team relies on the run. Tech is also top 20 in the nation in rushing and outside the top 100 in passing yards. Tech is top 70 in the nation in points scored as well as this team relies on a defense that is 12th in the nation in total yards, 14th in rushing yards allowed, top 40 in pasing yards allowed and top 20 in points allowed. Fresno State has a solid offense, but let me tell you something about this offense, it is based via running, and I would not be surprised if this game goes under as when Fresno State plays the better teams in the nation, they do not finish with better than 21 points - as done on the blue turf against Boise State and against Oregon.
