Greetings From Holiday Land - 11/25/07

by: Kendall Holiday

What We Learned..

Alright folks, Chase Daniel is the best college football player in the country and should win the Heisman Trophy this season..Tim Tebow supporters to the back of the bus..Daniel has shredded everyone he has played this season and would do it in any conference in the land.

Devin Hester is ridiculous

Jacksonville might be the only team in the NFL that can hang with the New England Patriots, and by hanging, we mean lose to them by fifteen points. In all honesty, Jacksonville is very athletic and physical, and their running game will present more and more problems for opponents as the season wears along and defenses get tired and battered.

Devin Hester is ridiculous

Will LSU show up at this weekend’s SEC Championship Game? You have to wonder about their psyche considering there is no hope at a National Championship and their Head Coach Les Miles is at the forefront of the Michigan coaching search. If Tennessee is able to run the football this weekend, it is going to be a long day for a banged up LSU defense.

BYU will surprise a lot of people this College Basketball Season if this weekend was any indicator. They beat Louisville and had North Carolina on the ropes before falling in the Las Vegas Invitational. BYU has a balanced, experienced and unselfish offense which will go a long way late this season. Keep an eye on them, and do not be surprised if they score some upsets come tourney time and make it to the Sweet Sixteen or Great Eight.

San Francisco went over 300 yards of total offense for the first time this season, now you can sleep well at night.

The Denver Nuggets have had a very difficult time with their early back to back contests where they travel. They were blown out by the Rockets last night and had a similar experience earlier this season against Boston. Denver is not a young team and the likes of Iverson, Camby, and Kenyon Martin do not enjoy the schedule when it piles up on them. Keep an eye open there for some value moving forward this NBA season.

Chad Johnson went off Ocho Cinco style and hopefully you held onto him this fantasy season as he is likely to turn it on come Fantasy playoff time. Some other guys who will show up this season, Frank Gore and Steven Jackson.

Look for our College Football Championship Weekend Play of the Week. There are some blatant discrepancies in this match-up and one team has a definitive advantage. Take this winner to the bank with us at http://www.toptencappers.com/handicapper/Kendall-Holiday.

By the way.Devin Hester is ridiculous.

Keep an eye out for our College Bowl Spectacular which has performed very well the past two seasons. We pick every single game, and our four and five star selections have hit over 60% each of the past two seasons. http://www.toptencappers.com/handicapper/Kendall-Holiday

Past Weekend Results:

Colorado Buffaloes @ Colorado State Rams Sunday August 31, 2008 7:30 pm
We start off the Big 12 / MWC selections with a mid level choice on the Colorado Buffaloes.  For the first time in a long time in this rivalry, Colorado will clearly have the edge in talent, especially along both lines, where the game will likely be won or lost.  Colorado ... read more

Colorado Rockies @ Los Angeles Dodgers Tuesday June 3, 2008 10:10 pm
Gotta strike while the iron's hot here, and going against the Rockies would have made you a ton of loot over the past three weeks.  Penny has done well against Colorado in the past and he faces a lineup that is weaker than in years past tonight.  The Rockies will welcome ... read more

Colorado Rockies @ Los Angeles Dodgers Monday June 2, 2008 10:10 pm
You simply cannot side with the Colorado Rockies right now, especially on the road.  This is a lineup decimated by injury, and their starter Reynolds, walked eight in his last outing.  A nice spot for a bounce back here in Chavez Ravine but the Rockies have been losing ... read more

Pittsburgh Pirates @ Cincinnati Reds Wednesday May 28, 2008 7:10 pm

San Francisco Giants @ Florida Marlins Friday May 23, 2008 7:10 pm
