Thursday: 1-0 (UNC +5.5 Outright Winner over Rutgers). Winning 4 of 5 days and 7-2-1 Last 2 Weekends in College and NFL Football. Going for Winning Weekend #3 in a Row. Great POD in WNBA ready to roll today, my only play today. Full College and NFL Card Plays + Research out by this evening. gl.
College Football Friday
Kansas vs. South Florida
Note that South Florida returns home after an extremely tough battle against UCF where they did not cover and managed to get out alive with a victory in an in-state battle. Remember, South Florida went into that game as a 2 touchdown favorite and failed to cover. They do return home where the last opponent they played at home they defeated 56-7 against Tennessee Martin. There was no spread for this game. Kansas is 1-1 ATS this year as they failed to cover the first game against Florida International as the spread was 30, but did manage to cover the 21 point spread against La Tech winning 29-0. Kansas returns a startling 10 on defense and 7 on offense and this team does have a higher ranking coming into this game at 12th. South Florida currently sits at 17th. Grothe was the leading rusher for South Florida last year and the last 2 years in fact and he returns to the helm once again this year for the Bulls. These 2 teams met back in 2006 where the final score was actually 13-7 in a hard fought defensive battle. Todd Ressing for Kansas has thrown for 6 touchdowns and 1 interception thus far while Grothe has thrown for 5 touchdowns and 2 picks, although Ressing's numbers look better - of course, it's arguable that South Florida faced a tougher competition on the road. There are 2 additional Kansas freshman that are cleared to play for this game. The line that opened up for this game opened up at -4 and has gone down to -3.5, it has come down slightly with the public's preference to Kansas on the highway.

New York vs. Chicago
The line on this game has opened up at -4 in favor of Chicago, this is a revenge game for Chicago who lost by 8 on the road last time out, Chicago does play New York tough each time and beat this team by 9 on the road last time out and now faces them at home in this rubber game. New York comes off a 6 point loss to San Antonio and Chicago comes off a 19 point thumping of Washington at home. Lean on Chicago here to get it done at home with revenge but NY is a very tough team when it comes off a straight up loss.
Atlanta vs. Seattle
The spread here has opened up at -14.5. Note, that Atlanta plays on the road at the Sparks today as I write this (Thursday) and they turn around from L.A. and go north to play Seattle where they sit as a +14.5 dog. Personally, I hope for Atlanta to lose cover against the Sparks as I think that sets them up for a burial at Seattle. Seattle has covered 7 straight and are straight up dynamite at home where they have won to the tune of 15-1 and many of those games htey have covered. However, I hate games with big spreads although note Seattle comes off a loss and already beat Atlanta by 14 on the road earlier this year.
Houston vs. Sacramento
This game is postponed due to Hurricane Ike. Yesterday's Analysis: 1-0UNC +5.5, Outright Winner!Here is what I have on this game. Note, that this is not your father's UNC football team. This Carolina team has come some ways since Butch Davis took over. Yes, they only won 4 games last year, but the 2 million a year coach has looked to improve this team. He has brought some quality talent to this squad in the form of Yates and a running back that rushed for over a 100 yards last ballgame. Remmeber, Davis is the Coach who was once running the show at the Browns organization in the NFL and prior to that at the Hurricanes in Miami. He left the year before the Canes won the National Championship and many believe it was his coaching and prowess that created the dominance that Coker was fortunate to receive on a silver platter. I believe this is true as see what Coker did to the program under his leadership as he drove a great program to the ground with terrible oversight. Having said this, Davis beat Miami at North Carolina last year as that made the boosters and fans thrilled for a big win. He has been working hard to renew the image of UNC Football as a place where students can expect to have a football team that is not terrible and can be competitive. This is still a Basketball school, but Davis has worked to try to re-establish a winning tradition and in about 4 years I think he competes for an ACC Title to be frank. I think these 2 teams might be heading in opposite trends, for this year at least, in that UNC returns a lot of veteran players, to the tune of 10 returners on offense (put up 35 points last week, granted McNeese State) and 8 returners on defense. This Scarlet Knights offense struggled without Ray Rice as they only put up 7 points against Fresno State. Having said that, they should have far more success scoring against UNC today, but UNC is no push over either. This shows that despite 63% favoring Rutgers at home, with the fan-fare and backing they received last year and the fact that UNC football is under the radar, the line has actually gone in favor of UNC the other way as there is quality value in the Tarheels today. These 2 teams met in 06' and UNC only lost that ballgame by 5 points. Don't forget, Mike Teel only completed 50% of his passes roughly last time and threw for 2 picks and 0 td's. I wouldn't be surprised at an over or an UNC outright win here. -------------------------------------------------------------------------
